In July 2007 TGE has successfully completed the gas trial for “CHRISTOPH SCHULTE”. It is the first of a series
of three 9,000 cbm LPG/ Ethylene-Carrier built at STX Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Pusan, Korea for the German Shipowner Bernhardt Schulte , the Danish Owner Othello Shipping Company and the German Owner Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts-Aktiengesellschaft . Currently CHRISTOPH SCHULTE is trading Ethylene for a Japanese Charterer in ASIA. All three vessels are intended to join the UNIGAS Pool.
In total a series of eight 9,000 cbm LPG/ Ethylene-Carrier will be built at STX Shipbuilding for five different owners.
The TGE scope comprises detail engineering, the design of the cargo handling system and of IMO type C cargo tanks and the delivery of the gas handling equipment. Furthermore the construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance tests where supervised by TGE.
