In September 2009 the construction of “GASCHEM PACIFIC”, a 17,000 m³ Ethylene carrier, was completed. "GASCHEM PACIFIC" is a sister vessel of “GASCHEM NORDSEE” and is the second of, in total, four gas carriers that are currently being built at the German MEYER YARD for the German Shipowner HARPAIN Reederei.

The ship will be operated within the Hamburg based GASCHEM Pool. Crewing will be arranged by NSB (Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG) at Buxtehude.

All systems of the gas plant have successfully passed  an intensive test program during gas trials at the Ethylene terminal in Rafnes, Norway.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art gas plant equipment and the professional system installation and pre-commissioning work which were supervised by TGE’s engineers at the building yard, the gas plant passed it's acceptance certification without any pending item left.
