Mr. Ichiro Tanaka is a mechanical engineer and graduated from Osaka University in 1986.

He joined Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in 1986.
He was involved in Design Department for Marine Low Speed Engine. He held several positions, especially in the Design and the R&D Department.

From 2016 to 2018, he was appointed as General Manager of the Planning and Management Department of Machinery & Systems Headquarters.

Mr. Tanaka served from 2021 to 2022 as the Chief Executive Officer of Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd.
He is currently the Director of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Japan.

Mr. Tanaka is a member of JIME (The Japan Institute of Marine Engineering).
