The supervisory board of TGE Marine is pleased to announce that the new CEO for TGE group of companies has been found and the service contract has been signed in October 2018.
Starting on January 7th Mr. Jan Volkert Wibel will take over the top position in TGE Marine. Mr. Wibel has worked in different positions for more than 20 years in the MaK/Caterpillar/Zeppelin group of companies. In 2015 he has been promoted to Head of Service and member of the executive management for Zeppelin Power Systems GmbH & Co KG.
Mr. Wibel has started his career in 1984 as apprenticeship for ship mechanic and has graduated from Flensburg University in 1993 as ship technology engineer.
In 1994 Mr. Wibel joined MAN B&W Diesel (Augsburg) as service engineer for engines and he has been working for two years in China for power plant projects.
In 1998 Mr. Wibel changed companies and moved to Caterpillar/MaK where he was nominated as Director for the Italian branch. In 2007 Mr. Wibel was promoted to Director of Marine Department and in 2010 he was further promoted Head of Oil & Gas Department of Zeppelin Power Systems.
The supervisory board is convinced that Mr. Wibel will substantially contribute to the future development of TGE Marine through his extensive experience and knowledge of the ship building, oil & gas, service and marine market.
We wish Mr. Wibel a successful start and will introduce him to all our major clients and partners in personal meetings in the very near future.
