Please kindly be informed that Ulrich Menninghaus, our Chief Operating Officer (COO), decided to retire after being with the company for 25 years. In his career with TGE Marine he started as a Project Engineer before occupying various management positions and finally taking over the positions of COO in 2006 and as a managing director in 2008.
“Working at TGE Marine has always been a matter close to my heart. It has certainly been an extremely rewarding career with many challenges along the way. During my career I have encountered many people from different cultures, whom I have learned from and oftentimes relied upon for their expertise. Thank you to everyone for the good collaborations over the years.” said Ulrich Menninghaus.
We are very pleased to welcome his successor as COO Jochen Busch, who joined TGE Marine on the 1st of August 2022. Jochen Busch has significant management experience, having held various positions of responsibility for more than 20 years at one of the leading Cruise ship builders in the world.
“TGE Marine is committed to supporting the decarbonisation of the shipping industry with ongoing future fuels’ developments for greener shipping and I am honoured to take over the role of COO at TGE Marine” emphasized Jochen Busch.

He was a major contributor to our success and we wish him all the best for his well-deserved retirement” added our CEO Jan Volkert Wibel. He continued “With his well-founded background and personality Jochen Busch is the perfect fit to continue the legacy of Ulrich and shape the course of TGE Marine for the years to come”.
